Scarce pair of B.E.F era Aluminium mess tins. Good clean condition, both 1939 dated & maker marked T.L & Co with inspection mark 76 over W.D arrow.

Production of mess tins soon switched to tin, as Aluminium was needed for more important war production & would not revert back until near the wars end with the re-introduction of a Aluminium set for Far-East issue.
