British L1A4 Bayonet

British L1A4 bayonet for the S.L.R. This is one of the last ones made, it is maker marked AM (Which I think is Abbeydale Metal Craft, Sheffield) & dated 1986.

Very well marked & in very fine condition with most original finish, however it is flawed. The Pommel has not been pinned to the tang, there is no sign of this ever being done so must be a 'lunch box special' or similar that was never inspected or issued. Pommel is a fairly tight friction fit and remains in place until pulled off. No scabbard.


An interesting example of a fairly scarce late production piece.
