Scarce WW1 Australian (Lithgow) '07 Pattern Bayonet. 1917 Dated
Scarce 1917 dated Australian 1907 pattern sword bayonet in very clean condition. Lithgow made piece it is free form pitting and has the bulk of its blued finish remaining. tidy grips. No clearance hole in pommel.
The Crossguard marked '2nd M.D' (second military district, New South Wales) No post WW1 dates. In relation to British production the number of great war Australian 07's was tiny, just over 42,000.
